Student Accomplishments

Precision Helicopter Services, Inc. takes great pride in our students and pilots.  We are inspired by the skills we help them develop, and the flight goals they are able to obtain.

Jeff Fitch:

Jeff soloed on April 20, 2004 and went on to complete his private Pilot add-on rating on June 7, 2004.  On July 20, 2004 Jeff completed his Commercial check ride.  He is currently working on his CFI and instrument ratings.

Will Evans:

Will soloed on June 29, 2004 out of LCRA.  Will plans to obtain his ratings with Precision Helicopter Services, Inc. and eventually obtain a job a pilot for an EMS company.

Nate Zampelli:

Helicopter solo on May 1, 2004.

Rob Allen:

Nick Nackes, M.D.:

Helicopter solo on April 11, 2003.  Private Pilot rating on February 12, 2004.  Dr. Nick works as an Intensive Care physician at Akron City Hospital and flies as a hobby.

Jeff Kasza:

Jeff achieved his Commercial rating on February 19, 2003 and his CFI on October 23, 2003.  Jeff is one on the flight instructors currently employed at Precision Helicopters, Inc.   Jeff has used his ratings with Precision Helicopter to contribute to the making of the Eminem video, Channel 33 Youngstown Football flights, NewsChannel 5 Chopper 5, and while in Los Angeles for KLOS 95.5 FM.

Jason Pecora:

Jason came to Precision to obtain his private pilot rating which he did on October 10, 2003.  He is currently building P.I.C. time and then will be pursuing his commercial rating.

Dave Kincaid:

Dave has held a fixed wing rating since 1980 and decided to pursue his helicopter rating to further his aviation interests.  In December, 2002, he received his helicopter add-on rating and is now currently working on attaining an instrument rating.  Dave continues to fly for “grins and giggles” as he puts it, in his spare time away from his lighting consultant work.

Corey Kurilko:

Corey’s first ride in a helicopter was in Hawaii and ever since then he was hooked.  He and his parents talked to Precision at the Cleveland Air Show and his parents then decided to surprise him with his first lesson in October, 1999.  Corey’s 16th birthday was an exceptional one….the day of his helicopter solo.  He plans on achieving his private pilot rating when he is only 17.  Eventually, Corey plans on joining the Army to further his helicopter career plans.

CONGRATULATIONS KASZAMAN! - June 8, 2002
Jeff Kasza worked hard to get his private rating here with us. He's had great control from the very beginning, and he should have a successful career being a pilot! He's currently working on his instrument and commercial tickets when he is not working construction for the City of Lakewood! Congrats Jeff!

TJ BENCIN IS NOW A PRIVATE PILOT! - April 16, 2002
This is TJ's first, but not last rating with us. He is currently working on his commercial and IFR ratings at the same time. TJ is also learning the ways of the family business when he isn't flying! Way to go TJ!

CONGRATULATIONS - DANNY KARAM SOLOS! - March 6, 2002
Dan was very fortunate to build turbine time in his buddies Huges 500D before coming to us, therefore he was rather acquainted with the controls rather quick. Dan has a Cessna P-210 out of Akron Fulton Airport (AKR) and is looking to get his private pilot helicopter add on! Congratulations on your solo Dan!

WAY TO GO WAYNE - FIRST SOLO! - March 1, 2002
Like most of our students here, Wayne has never flown before coming to our school! We are very proud of your latest accomplishment, it shows that endurance does really pay off. Wayne is a Controller for Physician Staffing and he believes that flying helicopters is a great from accounting!

CONGRATULATIONS - PAT FINLEY SOLOS! - February 19, 2002
Pat came to us to achieve his helicopter add on, and is now one step closer to that goal. When not flying planes and now helicopters, Pat is a Managing Partner for Omni Realty and Development Company. Once again Pat CONGRATULATIONS, and keep up the hard work!
